Czech regulator supports initial version of telecom law

Czech national telecommunications regulator CTU said that the failure to approve the amendment to the Electronics Communications Act could hinder consumer protection initiatives. The CTU supports the amendment. The Senate rejected the proposed amendments in July, sending the legislation back to the lower chanber for further revision. The lower chamber previously adopted the bill by a strong majority of 164 of 168 votes.
