DAB+ penetration increases in Germany

Tuesday 4 September 2018 | 10:33 CET | News
Over half of Germans over the age of 14 have access to digital radio devices with DAB+, IP, web radio, satellite or digital cable reception, according to a new report on digitisation from the Medienanstalten, the association of Germany's state media regulators, presented at the IFA trade fair in Berlin. While fewer Germans continue to listen to the radio via satellite or cable than in the past, the penetration of radio via DAB+ and IP has increased by 15 percent and 13 percent over the past year respectively.
