Dailymotion reduces streaming quality for 3 weeks in help to European networks

Video portal Dailymotion, part of Vivendi, has taken steps to alleviate network congestion on European networks during the Covid-19 lockdown. Videos originally available in 4K and HD (1080p/720p) quality will be streamed in standard definition (SD) for at least three weeks. This emergency bandwidth policy follows similar measures taken by Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, Amazon and Disney.
