Danish fibre market share continues catching up with cable TV network in 2019

Thursday 28 May 2020 | 12:30 CET | News
The Danish Energy Authority said that at the end of 2019, fibre accounted for 41 percent of subscriptions for broadband offering downloads at 100 Mbps or faster, up from 36 percent a year earlier. Its report 'Telestatistics – second half year 2019', which uses information provided by operators, said there was an increase of 30 percent or 103,000 to 445,000 in the number of fibre subscriptions at that speed. Even so, the cable TV network still had the biggest share at 44 percent.
