Daum Kakao to change corporate name to Kakao

Wednesday 2 September 2015 | 11:00 CET | News
South Korean mobile messaging services provider Daum Kakao will change its corporate name from Daum Kakao to Kakao. Daum Kakao launched in October 2014, following the merger of Daum Communications and Kakao Corp., with the mission to 'Connect Everything'. The company says the name 'Daum Kakao' presented a certain level of ambiguity in illustrating the direction of the company. The corporate name change to Kakao aims to reaffirm its identity as a mobile-first company.
