DC court overturns some conditions imposed on Charter during merger process

The DC Circuit Court of Appeals has eliminated two of the conditions imposed on US operator Charter Communications when it merged with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, after some plaintiffs said the conditions were responsible for their cable bills going up, Multichannel News reported. The conditions had prohibited Charter from charging programming suppliers for access to its broadband subscribers (interconnect charges) and had said Charter must provide very discounted broadband services to "needy subscribers."
