Deezer acquires internet talk radio provider Stitcher

French-headquartered global digital music streaming service Deezer has announced that it is acquiring US internet talk radio provider Stitcher to add talk content and expand its distribution into the automotive entertainment market. The acquisition value was not disclosed. Stitcher currently carries eight of the top ten US terrestrial radio shows and features content from over 12,000 global content providers, including NPR, BBC, Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, CBS Radio News and others.
