Demand for PC devices declines in MEA in Q1 as tablet sales fall

The Middle East and Africa (MEA) personal computing devices (PCD) market, which is made up of desktops, notebooks, workstations, and tablets, declined by 5.3 percent year on year in Q1 2018, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). Its Quarterly PCD Tracker shows that shipments fell to around 5.7 million units for the three-month period, which is the lowest quarterly volume recorded for more than six years.
