Denmark plans next generation NemID before EU tender

The Danish Digitisation Agency said the first step has been taken towards the next generation of the public universal digital log-in signature, NemID. The analysis work for this will take the whole of 2014, it said. The project for the next generation of NemID will have a steering group, which will look at matters such as organisation, ownership structure, requirements, security and functionality. In November 2017, the contract for NemID runs out, and the task will be put out to tender in under an EU process
