DeTe to convert all phone lines to IP from 2017

Friday 28 October 2016 | 12:35 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom has announced plans to convert all customer phone lines to an IP connection starting from the beginning of 2017. All 'single play connections' – meaning those without an internet connection – will be switched to the IP network starting from next year, Deutsche Telekom head of strategy development Klaus Mueller said at a press conference in Munich, according to Teltarif. Customers will be able to continue using their analogue devices and should only experience a short interruption to their usual service, Deutsche Telekom confirmed.
