Deutsche Telekom activates 300 mobile base stations across Germany

Friday 22 June 2018 | 12:39 CET | News
Telekom aims to increase the number of mobile base stations in Germany from 27,000 in 2017 to 36,000 in 2021 in order to fill in gaps in coverage, increase bandwidth and prepare for future 5G networks. Some 98 percent of the German population should have access to Telekom's LTE network by 2019 as a result of these upgrades.
