Deutsche Telekom activates VDSL vectoring on first 20 grids

Deutsche Telekom has activated vectoring technology in the first 20 local networks in Germany, Teltarif.de reported, raising VDSL speeds to as fast as 100 Mbps for downloads and 40 Mbps for uploads. The activation was announced earlier this month but it was awaiting authorisation. More than 200,000 will benefit. The towns brought on stream are Hilden, Erkelenz, Wegberg, Wegberg-Rottgen, Gronau, Gronau-Epe, Hennigsdorf, Velten, Zittau, Prenzlau, Gifhorn, Lohne, Hofheim-Wallau, Zweibrucken, Neuhof-Hauswurz, Beilstein, Albstadt-Ebingen, Offenburg, Starnberg and Kalbach.
