Deutsche Telekom appoints new T-Systems CEO

Deutsche Telekom has announced the appointment of Adel B. Al-Saleh as the new CEO of T-Systems with effect from 01 January 2018. He will also join the Deutsche Telekom management board, succeeding Reinhard Clemens. Until recently, Adel Al-Saleh was CEO at Northgate Information Solutions Group.

DT's T-Systems to shed up to 10,000 jobs under turnaround plan

Deutsche Telekom plans to shed around 10,000 jobs at its IT services arm T-Systems in an effort to turn the company profitable by 2020. The plans were announced by T-Systems CEO Adel Al-Saleh to staff and confirmed by the CEO to Handelsblatt.

Telekom Deutschland appoints new board members for 2018

Deutsche Telekom has appointed Dirk Woessner and Adel Al-Saleh to its management board, effective 01 January 2018. Woessner will succeed Niek Jan van Damme as board member for Germany and managing director of Telekom Deutschland GmbH. Woessner comes from the Canadian wireless communications provider Rogers, where he has led their consumer business segment since 2015. Deutsche Telekom's T-Systems wins deal to roll out Davinci system for insurer

Deutsche Telekom's T-Systems subsidiary announced it has won a deal to expand and operate its Davinci communications system for German health insurance provider DAK Gesundheit until 2025. Davinci 3.0 will help digitise DAK's communications infrastructure by enabling the company to reach its customers through digital channels like chat sessions, its website and email in addition to telephony, and should reduce administrators' workload. The system is scheduled to go live by late 2018, said T-Systems.

Deutsche Telekom's T-Systems will present a new automated cloud management service to help customers manage operating systems across different clouds at the Cloud Expo in Frankfurt on 28 and 29 November. T-System's Managed Cloud Operating System (MCOS) standardizes the management of cloud systems independently of the technology used by the cloud provider.

T-Systems Switzerland has appointed Stefan Zuger as new VP for Sales & Service from 01 November. He replaces Roland Stettler, who is leaving the company. Zuger has around 30 years of experience in the ICT sector. Earlier he worked for Palo Alto Networks, Dell EMC, Data General and Credit Suisse.

T-Systems NL revenues drop by almost 19% to EUR 201.4 million

T-Systems Netherlands reports revenues of EUR 201.4 million for 2016, decreasing by almost 19 percent compared with 2015 due to revenue loss for all customers, according to its annual report recently deposited at the Dutch chamber of commerce trade registry. The revenue loss was also caused by customer Heineken ending its DWP (Dynamic Work Place) and hosting contract and replacing it by a multi cloud contract with less value.

T-Systems Austria has appointed Peter Lenz as its new managing director from 1 January 2018. Since the beginning of this year, Lenz has been serving as the VP Delivery for T-Systems, where he was responsible for IT operations, system integration and software development. Lenz will succeed Franz Grohs, who ends his career at T-Systems after 21 years and 46 years in the ICT industry. He will continue to offer consultation services to the company.

T-Systems wins IT systems management contract from Leag

T-Systems announced a contract to provide the energy and mining group Leag with IT management services. The order covers outsourcing of its complete IT infrastructure, SAP services from the cloud, digital workplace and cloud-based service management. T-Systems said it beat 18 competitors in the tender and won the company over with the high security standards of its German cloud data centres in particular.

T-Systems has brought to Brazil its offer of security products, known as Magenta Security. T-Systems to create video communication system for Hungarian govt

T-Systems won a contract from Hungarian IT agency Nisz to create a cloud-based video communications system serving government organisations. The system is expected to be completed in March 2018. T-Systems Hungary will receive HUF 878,211 for this contract. The unit is being built for the 'Electronic platform for improving work organisation and communication in administrations at different geographic locations', a European Union-supported project.

Deutsche Telekom announced a change in management at its unit T-Systems. Board member in charge of T-Systems, Reinhard Clemens is leaving the company, and a new head of the unit will take over from the start of 2018. The identity of the new board member cannot be announced yet due to agreements with his or her current employer.
