Deutsche Telekom boosts mobile coverage along border with Netherlands

Wednesday 26 August 2020 | 17:37 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom said it is expanding the capacity of its mobile networks along border regions. The company is building completely new mobile stations for example in Straelen in the district of Cleves, in North Rhine-Westphalia, near the German border with the Netherlands. There, a mobile mast outside the residential area, in an open field, supplies customers with GSM and high-speed LTE. The company has also deployed an above-ground fibre-optic cable on wooden poles in the middle of the fields.
