Deutsche Telekom considers WhatsApp partnership

Deutsche Telekom is considering a partnership with mobile messaging company WhatsApp, reports Bloomberg. In an interview at Mobile World Congress (MWC), Claudia Nemat, board member in charge of the European unit and technology, said that Deutsche Telekom was willing to team with WhatsApp in markets such as Romania. However, she added that Telekom was also still looking to promote alternative services such as Jibe and Joyn to target different groups.
