Deutsche Telekom continues to pursue multi-vendor strategy for network equipment suppliers

Wednesday 8 July 2020 | 10:26 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom said it continue to pursue a multi-vendor strategy for the supply of equipment to build its mobile network. In a blog post, the company explained that a large number of different manufacturers supply equipment, which means that Telekom does not become "dependent" on one individual supplier. Manufacturers supplying equipment for Telekom include Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ericsson and Huawei as well as smaller providers. Huawei does not supply parts for the mobile core network, it said, adding that its sales from the Chinese company have been declining in the past three years.
