Deutsche Telekom, Daimler co-operate for connected cars

Deutsche Telekom and Daimler have joined forces to develop new communications services for Daimler cars. The focus of the new partnership will be new online services and web applications such as real-time traffic data, mobility offerings, personal radio and access to social networks. The online services and Mercedez-Benz app can be accessed by drivers through the COMAND Online multimedia system. Telekom is developing the communications infrastructure for this system. It will also equip future Mercedes-Benz models with M2M SIM chips.
