Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson achieve 40 Gbps in E-band backhaul trial

Ericsson and Deutsche Telekom announced the successful demonstration of a millimeter wave link with a data transmission rate of 40Gbps in a joint innovation project at the Deutsche Telekom Service Center in Athens. The company said this shows the potential for continued use of microwave wireless backhaul on 5G networks rather than fibre.
