Deutsche Telekom has no major content purchase plans - CEO

Deutsche Telekom has no plans to enter the content game paying up to EUR 1 billion for football rights, according to CEO Timotheus Hoettges during the conference call with analysts regarding the third quarter results. He said that Telekom wants to be the content aggregator offering the most attractive content to customers via its Entertain platform that is open for all content creators. At the same time, having exclusive content is no problem, as Telekom has in Germany with live matches from the Basketball League and Ice Hockey League, but paying up to EUR 1 billion for football rights is not
