Deutsche Telekom and Huawei claim to have activated the world's first NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) end-to-end system on the operator's live network in Germany, according to GSMA's Mobile World live news services. The system will be demonstrated this week by DeTe's CTO, Huawei's global IoT director and T-Mobile Netherlands together with a commercial NB-IoT smart parking system, also described as a "first". The actual activation was on 4 October and the demonstration will take place in Bonn. T-Mobile NL has previously demonstrated a smart parking system.
