Deutsche Telekom raises global network investment to EUR 18 bln

Deutsche Telekom is increasing the amount of its investment in network infrastructure worldwide to EUR 18.4 billion, and to over EUR 5.5 billion in Germany, chief executive officer Timotheus Hoettges said at the company's AGM. Telekom has invested EUR 36 billion in the past seven years in network infrastructure in Germany alone, up 30 percent compared with the previous seven years, the CEO said in the speech.
