Deutsche Telekom, SAP develop coronavirus tracing app with backing from non-profit tech start-up alliance

The non-profit initiative Healthy Together (Gesund-Zusammen), an alliance of technology companies formed to help contain the spread of Covid-19, will support Deutsche Telekom and SAP in their effort to develop a tracing application, Handelsblatt reports. Deutsche Telekom and SAP will develop a coronavirus app based on decentralised software architecture and Pan-European Privacy Preserving Proximity Tracking (Pepp-PT). The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and Helmholtz-Zentrum CISPA are advising on development of the app.
