Deutsche Telekom starts to operate first 5G core network in Bamberg

Deutsche Telekom said it has started to operate the first 5G core network in the town of Bamberg in Bavaria, where it has one of its data centres. This will support 5G Standalone (5G SA) networks in future, such as the one it recently brought on stream in Garching near Munich.
