Deutsche Telekom, Telefonica expand fixed-line co-operation

Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica Germany have signed an MoU to expand their fixed-line operation. Telefonica Germany plans to increase the use of Telekom's high-speed infrastructure for fixed line network products in the future by using Telekom's VDSL and vectoring products. This will be conducted in phases, with completion scheduled for 2019. The agreement will allow Telekom to share investment risks and accelerate further expansion of the network. The agreement will be submitted to the Federal Network Agency and the Federal Cartel Office, with the parties aiming to start the collaboration in
