Deutsche Telekom to begin building e-car charging network in summer

Deutsche Telekom will begin upgrading the first of its distribution cabinets as charging stations for electric cars in Germany this summer, reported Heise Online. Telekom said it is currently in talks with a number of municipalities to clarify issues like rights of street use and parking space around the charging stations. Municipalities' interest in Telekom's plan to convert the cabinets into charging stations has been "very, very high", a company spokesperson told Heise.
