Deutsche Telekom to bring 5G to over half of German population this year

Deutsche Telekom said that it plans to provide 5G to more than half of the population in Germany, in cities and rural areas, during the course of this year. The company wants to carry out the expansion primarily by upgrading the existing network. Deutsche Telekom will test a new 5G variant, with existing passive antenna technology reused for future technologies, in parallel to active antennas.
