Deutsche Telekom to start fibre network expansion in Weinstadt

Deutsche Telekom said it has signed an agreement with Weinstadt municipal council in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg to expand the fibre network for 13,000 households in 4,500 buildings by 2030. The utility firm Stadtwerke Weinstadt is building the new FTTH network. The company plans to build the network in every residential area of the districts of Endersbach and Beutelsbach, and in the residential and commercial areas of the districts of Grossheppach, Schnait and Struempfelbach. Expansion of the network will start in the district of Strumpfelbach in 2022.
