Deutsche Telekom to switch off 3G network by 2021 at the latest

Deutsche Telekom will stop using 3G by the end of 2021 at the latest, spokesperson for the company Niels Hafenrichter told Golem.de. The company will transfer the frequency spectrum currently used for 3G entirely to more powerful technologies, he added. Telekom is already reducing capacity on the 3G network nationwide.
