Deutsche Telekom unlikely to pursue KPN - report

Although Deutsche Telekom did explore a bid for KPN in the fall, opinion is split as to whether the company will revive the project, Bloomberg reported, citing a person with knowledge of the matter. The source said that in fact, Deutsche Telekom was reluctant to make any large acquisition and that the name of KPN did not come up as a takeover target during recent board meetings. The source made the statement in response to reports the German carrier may continue to look into KPN after the acquisition of EE by BT is completed.
