Deutsche Telekom withdraws from Host Europe bidding - report

Deutsche Telekom has backed out of pursuing the purchase of European web hosting provider Host Europe Group, according to a report from Reuters. Host Europe group, which has been put up for sale by private equity owner Cinven, is one of Europe's largest independent web hosting firms and is valued at around EUR 1.7 billion, according to unnamed sources that spoke to Reuters. Deutsche Telekom has reportedly decided to withdraw from bidding for the group on the basis of this likely valuation, as well as limited potential for organic growth, the sources said.
