Deutsche Telekom's Detecon ceases operations in Iran over US sanctions

Deutsche Telekom's T-Systems subsidiary Detecon has pulled out of Iran, terminating its business in the country as a result of new US sanctions that went into effect last week, reported Reuters. Detecon ceased operations in Iran with immediate effect in mid-May 2018 because of "sensitivity in relations" with Iran worldwide, a spokesperson from Detecon told Reuters.
