Dialog Axiata's Q1 profit plunges nearly 70% on forex losses

Sri Lanka operator Dialog Axiata reported first-quarter group revenue of LKR 29.2 billion, which represents a decline of 1 percent quarter-on-quarter, and a growth of 1 percent year-on-year. Dialog said the Group's all key business segments, including Mobile, International, Tele-infrastructure, Digital Pay TV and Fixed Line contributed to the 1 percent annual revenue growth. Group EBITDA rose 4 percent quarter-on-quarter and 1 percent year-on-year to LKR 12.2 billion for the three months ended 31 March 2020. EBITDA margin reached 41.6 percent, up 2.3 percentage points quarter-on-quarter.
