Digi Hungary fined HUF 45 mln for misleading mobile launch campaigns

The Hungarian Competition Authority GVH has fined Digi Hungary HUF 45 million for launching its mobile phone service in 2019 with a misleading campaign, among other things for unreasonably promising unlimited mobile internet. GVH's competition supervision procedure concluded that the campaign "Tesztelj velunk" ("Test with us") launched in 2019 and the "Probald ki" ("Try it") campaign from 2020 were unfair commercial practices. Both introduced the Digi Mobile services.
