Digi Mobil Italia allowed to continue applying EU roaming surcharges until October 2021

Wednesday 30 September 2020 | 11:20 CET | News
Italian communications regulator Agcom has approved a request from MVNO Digi Mobil to continue opting out of the roam-like-at-home requirement in the EU over another period of 12 months after confirming that it will be unable to cover the corresponding roaming costs. Under the EU regulation, operators can opt out of roam-like-at-home and continue to apply regulated surcharges if they can prove to their national watchdog that they will lose money if forced to apply the measure.
