Digi selects ZTE as RAN vendor for 5G network in Malaysia

Malaysian operator Digi Telecommunications has selected ZTE for its nationwide Radio Access Network (RAN) modernisation. Under the terms of the contract, ZTE will progressively renew Digi’s network sites across Malaysia with 5G technology over the next few years.

This modernisation project will upgrade Digi’s RAN to support new features such as dynamic spectrum sharing, multi-carrier aggregation, higher order MIMO, and Cellular Internet of Things (C-IoT), for the future adoption of 5G technologies.
