
Digicel invests USD 389 min in Caribbean FTTH rollout

Digicel is planning to invest a total of USD 389 million to roll out FTTH infrastructure in Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados, reports local daily Newsday, citing the company's Trinidad and Tobago CEO Sacha Thompson. The fibre deployment will help Digicel offer "the most advanced online, television and digital service" in the local market, said Thompson, adding that the company is preparing to launch its pay-TV and fibre-optic broadband services under the Digicel Play brand in the two Caribbean countries.
