Discovery launches Discovery Plus streaming service in India

Entertainment network Discovery has announced launched a subscription-based video streaming service dubbed 'Discovery Plus' in India. For IND 299 per year, the service will offer content in eight languages, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi, Livemint reports. In the initial phase, Discovery says it will target around 25 million TV infotainment consumers across tier-one and tier-two towns, defined as those who watch over three hours of infotainment every month, the company said in a statement.
