Dish conducts successful field test of O-RAN RUs from MTI

Dish Network is moving ahead with plans to deploy a mobile network based on open RAN components in the US. The company announced that it has successfully integrated and validated end-to-end 5G connections using the first O-RAN compliant FDD radio, developed by MTI. The field validation took place on its virtualised standalone 5G core in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
