Dish settles with Disney over ad skipping

Dish Network has settled its dispute with Disney over ad-skipping in the pay-TV provider's set-top box and agreed a new licence deal with the broadcaster. Dish agreed to disable its AutoHop feature for customers watching content on Disney's network ABC for up to three days after broadcast. As a result the companies have agreed to withdraw their pending litigation. Dish customers will still have access to the feature on other channels. The agreement also gives them streaming and on-demand access to the Disney channels ABC Family, Disney Channel, ESPN and ESPN2, as well as live and on-demand
