Djezzy posts fall in Q1 revenue and EBITDA, as customer base continues lower

Thursday 7 May 2020 | 12:20 CET | News
Veon's Algerian subsidiary Djezzy generated mobile service revenues of DZD 22.2 billion, down 2.4 percent year-on-year (+0.5% in Q4). Overall revenues fell 2.1 percent to DZD 22.3 billion (-1.6% in Q4). The quarter was negatively affected by a drop in mobile top-ups and SIM sales during the last week of March, when the Covid-19 pandemic caused the introduction of lockdown measures. Additionally, the regulatory change to mobile terminations rates introduced in the previous quarter had a revenue impact of DZD 0.5 billion.
