Djezzy revenue drops 6% in Q4

Wednesday 25 February 2015 | 15:47 CET | News
Mobile operator VimpelCom Algeria (Djezzy) reported revenue down 6 percent to DZD 34 billion in the fourth quarter of 2014, compared with DZD 36 billion a year earlier. Mobile service revenue declined by 7 percent to DZD 33 billion from DZD 36 billion. Following the launch of 3G services in July last year, Djezzy's customer additions picked up and showed 5 percent growth to 18.4 million at the end of 2014, compared with 17.6 million at the end of 2013. However mobile ARPU declined by 12 percent year-on-year due to the churn of high-value customers related to the delay its 3G service launch.
