DNA plans to shut down 3G network by end of 2023

Telenor's Finnish division, DNA, said it plans to shut down its 3G network by 2023 in order to release frequencies and resources for 4G and 5G, as well as other new technologies. At the end of 2020, just over 2 percent of mobile data used by DNA's customers travelled on the 3G network. DNA radio network director Jarkko Laari said newer systems such as 4G and 5G achieve much faster speeds and have greater capacity.
