Docomo taps Ericsson for AI-based RAN optimization

Japanese operator NTT Docomo has selected Ericsson as its AI-based optimization services vendor for its nationwide radio access network (RAN). The AI-based Performance Diagnostic service for RAN optimization will apply machine learning and problem-solving techniques to classify cell performance issues and recommend changes.
