DOJ requests more information on Arris acquistion of Pace

Tuesday 30 June 2015 | 11:22 CET | News
STB makers Arris and Pace have received requests for additional information from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) in connection with Arris's USD 2.1 billion acquisition of Pace. This kind of request, often referred to as a "Second Request", extends the waiting period imposed by the 1976 Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act until 30 days after each company has complied with its second request, unless the period is extended voluntarily by the firms or terminated sooner by the DOJ. Arris continues to anticipate that the transaction will close in late 2015.
