DOM-TOM operators dismantle Huawei, ZTE equipment - report

French telecom service providers Orange, Outremer and Vodafone-backed Pacific Mobile Telecom, operating in the country's overseas counties and regions (DOM-TOM), have decommissioned core network equipment bought from Chinese infrastructure makers Huawei and ZTE, reports BFM TV on its website. The government reminded the three companies a few months ago that they were using the equipment illegally as they had failed to obtain prior approval from France's national IT security agency ANSII, formed by the French administration in July 2009.
