Dominican Republic presents draft bill to block mobile signal in jails

A draft law to prevent prisoners from accessing a mobile signal in jails as been presented at the Dominican Republic's Chamber of Deputies, reports El Nacional. Under the planned legislation, local operators Claro, Altice and Viva will be responsible for ensuring that mobile signals are blocked within prison walls with a view to preventing organised crime.
