Dominican Republic to tender 5G frequencies in 2021

Dominican telecommunications watchdog Indotel has announced plans to activate 5G throughout the country next year after carrying out a tender of frequencies in the 700 MHz and 3.3-3.4 GHz bands. "We want to develop a deployment plan for 5G technology and broadband that is unprecedented in our history, a level leap towards hyperconnectivity that will change the future of our country," said Dominican Republic president Luis Abinader at an event held at the Presidential Palace to present Decree 539-20
