DotAfrica launches reserve name list for governments

South Africa's ZA Central Registry (ZACR) has launched its dotAfrica Reserve Name List policy with a call on African governments to apply for certain names to be reserved, IT News Africa reported. The process aims to provide governments with an opportunity to protect their national interests by reserving names relevant to them and their citizens. The process is intended to protect three main categories of names: geographic names; religious, cultural and linguistic names: and economic and public interest names. A fourth category of offensive names will be held indefinitely and blocked from
