Draka hires advisers to look at Nexans offer

Netherlands-based cablemaker Draka said it has now received an unsolicited, indicative, non-binding proposal to be acquired by Nexans. This confirms the Nexans' statement on 18 October of an offer of EU 15 per share for Draka, which has the support of the Dutch company's main shareholder. Draka has engaged JP Morgan as financial advisor and Allen & Overy as legal counsel to evaluate the proposal.
