DRC operators secure LTE licences, Vodacom first to launch new services

Vodacom announced that it has become the first network operator in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to offer LTE services, marking the event with a new 4G marketing campaign launched on 11 May. All main mobile networks operating in the country secured an LTE licence on 10 May. Orange DRC made this news public on Twitter, posting a video of CEO Gerard Lokossou announcing that its customers would soon benefit from the launch of LTE services.
